April 15, 2025  The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has summoned the Provost of 1 Police Mobile Force (MOPOL) Kaduna, along with DSP Aliyu Adejembi and his team, over a viral video that shows them collecting cash handouts from Chinese nationals. The officers were reportedly in Lagos on special duty with the Chinese businesspeople when the incident occurred. The video, which has since circulated widely online, shows members of the police unit queuing visibly as they receive money from the Chinese individuals, sparking public outrage and raising concerns over the professional conduct of the security operatives. A police wireless signal dated April 15, 2025, confirmed the development.
