IGP Egbetokun Summons Kaduna MOPOL Team Caught Receiving Cash From Chinese Nationals*

April 15, 2025  The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has summoned the Provost of 1 Police Mobile Force (MOPOL) Kaduna, along with DSP Aliyu Adejembi and his team, over a viral video that shows them collecting cash handouts from Chinese nationals. The officers were reportedly in Lagos on special duty with the Chinese businesspeople when the incident occurred. The video, which has since circulated widely online, shows members of the police unit queuing visibly as they receive money from the Chinese individuals, sparking public outrage and raising concerns over the professional conduct of the security operatives. A police wireless signal dated April 15, 2025, confirmed the development. BY SA'ADU ABUBAKAR GAMBE.   Chairman Adhoc Committee for the Centenary Celebration of the National Tiddo Yo Daddo Alumni Association of General Murtala Muhammed College, (GMMC) Yola.  PREAMBLE  General Murtala Muhammed College, GMMC, Yola is one of the oldest grammar schools in Northern Nigeria. It started in 1920 as Elementary School than later upgraded to Middle School Yola. It metamorphosed to Provincial Secondary School, PSS, Yola, a grammar school, with the enrolment into form (year) one of a six years secondary education system then, of the Ibrahim Alfa, Hassan Adamu, Alhaji Natiti, Sale Michika and others in January 1955. In 1976 the school was renamed Government Secondary School, GSS, Yola in memory of the slain Head of State, General Murtala Muhammed, who was assassinated during a failed military coup in February 1976.
