TIDDO YO DADDO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MEMBERS OF THE FORMER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, MIDDLE SCHOOL, PROVINCIAL SECONDARY SCHOOL, PSS, GOVERNMENT SECONDARY SCHOOL, GSS AND NOW GENERAL MURTALA MUHAMMAD COLLEGE, GMMC, YOLA. 

CALL FOR THE PAYMENT OF SEPTEMBER LEVIES.



In order to lay the foundation for statutory membership contributions to the Tiddo Yo Daddo alumni association coffers, TIDDO YO DADDO, UBA Account number 1000330681, which gives members the sense of belonging to the organization and avail funds for the day today running of the Association. The Adhoc LOC found levies not instituted but random call to high profile dignitaries and distinguished alumni menbers were usually approached to donate funds for specifics after which the Secretariat became empty of funds for daily activities. Such practices was found to be, not only unethical but lacking in Accountability. Starting this September 2020, the Centinary Celebration year, we hope and pray all TYD family will justify their love, commitment and give back to the school that brought them up to where Almighty God has blessed them today. More so that your creation, the Adhoc LOC has embarked on the last lap to the Centinary Celebration Week.

Based in line and in subsequent protocols for our membership, the categories below will give everyone an approximate category he belongs to and therefore pay levies accordingly. Categories are:

A.  SUBSCRIBER. N100:00/month

All fresh graduates of the college who are either in post secondary institutions, yet to be employed or on permanent or temporary, public or private employment. EG, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015 sets.

B. CONTRIBUTOR. N400:00/month

All graduate of the college as recent as 2014  up to and including 2003 sets. Public or private employee or employer. Up to GL10. Payment could be for September or the remaining 4 months of the year.

C. BRONZE MEMBER. N600:00/m

All graduates of the college as recent as 2002, 2001,, 2000, 1999, 1998, up to and including 1993 sets. Public or private sectors, employee or employer except those in higher executive positions of public or private. Those in this category may decide to pay for September or for the remaining 4 months of the year 2020.

D. SILVER MEMBER. N1000:00/m

All graduate of the college as recent as 1992, 1991, 1990,1989, 1988 up to and including 1985 sets. Public or private employee or employer except those of them in higher directorate positions. This category is probably the largest base or pool of our vibrant Membership, young and mobile and energetic. The category may decide to pay for September or for all the 4 months of the year 2020.

E. GOLD MEMBER. N5,000:00/m

All graduate of the college as recent as 1984, 1983, 1982, 1981, 1980 up to and including 1975 sets. Public or private employee or employer. All Alumni in directorate positions. Many in politics, retirement and who have contributed to the development of the country at one time or another. Business moguls and top Professionals. This category may decide to pay N5,000:00 for September or for the remaining 4 months of the year.

F. PLATINUM MEMBER. N10,000:00/m

Graduates of the college as recent as 1974, 1973, 1972, 1971 and beyond up to and including 1955. Their Excellencies, Royal Highnesses and Distinguished alumni. Eg.

💯100 YEARS OF GMMC YOLA. By next year, 2020, the school, General Murtala Muhammad College (GMMC) Yola will clock one hundred years of its establishment. The former Middle School Yola has under gone several mutations in nomenclature. Starting as the Middle School, a male boarding senior primary school in 1920 it metamorphosed to a secondary grammar school with a broader curriculum. It was established initially to give western education to the citizen of the province and beyond. The aims and objectives were expanded to provide the man power needs of the colonial administration and that of the soon to be independent Nigeria. The Inevitable Shifting of the Date for the Centenary Celebration of Gen. Murtala Muhammad College Yola

TIDDO YO DADDO NATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CENTENARY CELEBRATION OF GMMC YOLA: THE UNFORSEEN HAPPENED. THE DEFERMENT TO March/April, 2022. The attention of the AD-HOC LOC was drawn to serious technical problems which nacessitate the deferment of the December  20th to 22nd, 2021 date fixed by the Congress. This did not come as a surprise as Adhoc LOC found itself face to face with the realities of phase 2 different from phase 1 where endowed alumni members responded beyond expectations to our calls to upgrade the school facilities hitherto in ruins, to give the 100 year old iconic school a facelift in line with its centenary Celebrations.  While we were on phase one, Adhoc LOC was very concious of time and drew attention of our Endowed alumni to collaborate, cooperate, sponsor events, donate funds, and avail their expertise from time to time for the phase two finals, but feeble attention was given to it. Phase two of the 100 Years Celebration of General Murtala Muhammad College, Yola.

ATTENTION: PHASE TWO OF THE 100 YEARS CELEBRATION. The Phase two of the centenary celebration of the iconic school, (for the benefit of the elder alumni), the former Elementary School,  the Middle School, the Provincial Secondary School, PSS Yola, then the Government Secondary School, GSS Yola and now General Murtala Muhammad College, GMMC Yola, which will be the crowning series of activities to mark the 100 years of the great school, is scheduled to be held in the last week of December, 2021. The fears expressed on the probable return to the 1966 scenario of doom and uncertainties hanging in the atmosphere, the absence of trust and confidence in the next person with you or near you if he happened not to be from your region or your tribe or religious persuasion. In 1966 the atmosphere was charged and people were looking over their shoulders in order not to miss any happenings. First, I was in Gambe Village on the 15th of January when the sudden and unexpected news of the killing of the Sardauna Sokoto, the Premier of the Northern Region was announced over the Radio Kaduna. The news came with mixed reactions from the population who were just coming out of the just concluded general elections 1964, in the country.
